Engineer Biomed II - (FT-Varied Shift)

SUMMARY :

Performs maintenance and repairs on life support and general medical equipment. Controls maintenance costs. Insures patient and staff safety.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Minimum Education : AA or AS degree in Biomedical Instrumentation or Electronics, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience : 8 years of biomedical equipment maintenance experience, with 3 years of in-hospital experience.
• Required License / Certifications : Current ABM / MAB / CPI certificate within 90 days upon hire, annual thereafter.
• Possess extensive knowledge and able to perform equipment maintenance and repairs on medical equipment.
• Capable of working unsupervised and can take ownership of tasks and projects.
• Capable of lifting 50lbs from the floor and 25lbs overhead, standing for 2 hours, walking for 1 hour, and sitting for 1 hour.
• Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language.
• Physical Requirements : Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, and perceptive acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
