Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system UChicago Medicine as a Facilities Plannerat our Hyde Park Location. This position is a hybrid opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Job Summary
Works with employees administrators and faculty to develop project descriptions and preliminary plans that can be used for further design development. Facilitates interaction between the users and designers. Manages user expectations throughout the planning and construction process.
Essential Job Functions
QUALIFICATIONS
The Planner must have good interpersonal skills and group process skills. He / she must be responsive to user needs and desires while meeting institutional standards budget constraints time constraints and regulatory requirements. The Planner should have a degree in architecture engineering or related field plus at least five years of experience in health care equipment planning. He / she should have (or must quickly develop) a good working knowledge of building codes and regulations applicable to health care. The Planner must be a competent and tireless problem-solver and an excellent communicator. He / she should have a good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Word and Excel preferred). A working knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD preferred) is desirable.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
