Warehouse Procurement Manager
A prominent general contractor in Chicago is seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Procurement Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement for their warehouse operations, ensuring they have the right materials at the right time and price.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for warehouse supplies, equipment, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to secure the best pricing and terms.
- Manage warehouse inventory levels and ensure efficient stock control.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience working within the construction industry is key
- Experience with inventory management software (Fishbowl a plus)
- Ability to develop and manage metrics to track KPIs like cost savings and supplier performance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse or construction procurement
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and negotiation techniques.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
