Sr. Manager, 2nd Shift Operations

Pratt & Whitney's North Berwick Aero Systems organization has an exciting leadership opportunity for a Sr. Manager, 2nd shift Operations. In this role, you will lead all aspects of the onsite 2nd shift operation in North Berwick (Parts Center, Modular Assembly, and Aftermarket Operations). You will provide direction and guidance to the 2nd shift team who are responsible for executing the production plans on 2nd shift.

What you will do :

• Drive performance in all success areas : Environmental, Health & Safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cultivating employee engagement.
• Build and develop a team that is responsive and flexible, empowering employees from cell leaders to operators.
• Understand and meet customer expectations.
• Manage critical part plans to completion and critical resource allocation to ensure that business metrics are met.
• Embrace Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) which is our Operating System and a lean manufacturing vision.
• Drive world-class safety culture and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.
• Execution to manufacturing standard work (MSW) on your shift.
• Coaching and mentoring both hourly and salary employees.
• Conduct live Tier walks at shift changeover for all businesses.
• Develop, track and close action items to eliminate production road blocks.
• Control quality, productivity and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer happiness.
• Address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals.
• Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship.
• Ownership of 2nd shift performance for the Site. Travel requirements less than 5%.

This role is Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
