PICU RN Job Details Location : Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico travel nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : January 12, 2026 End Date : April 13, 2026 Shift : Rotating 12-hour shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 30); 3x12 or 4x12 per week Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed hours (facility may call off up to 3 shifts per contract) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1890-$1940 Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Unit : 20-bed Pediatric ICU; float to NICU and Pediatric Emergency Department as needed Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift, 4-5 for night shift PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active NM RN license (or pending license accepted) Minimum 1.5 years of recent PICU RN experience (within the last 2 years; Level I Trauma experience required) BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association; RQI not accepted) Experience with CRRT, ECMO, ventilators, and inotropic drips preferred Ability to float to NICU and assist in Pediatric ED (IVs, medication administration, resource support) COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions accepted with documentation) Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility Reliable personal transportation required PICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU Monitor and manage complex pediatric diagnoses, including respiratory distress, renal failure, trauma, and multi-system organ failure Utilize advanced clinical skills : CRRT, ECMO, ventilator management, and inotropic drips Float to NICU and provide resource support in the Pediatric Emergency Department as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and more) Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic charting system Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education modules Apply now to join our healthcare team and make a difference as a travel PICU RN in Albuquerque, NM!
