Structural Engineer
Structural Engineer
Location : Salt Lake City, UT
Reports to : Structural, Civil & Architectural Department Manager
Compensation : $130K - $170K+
Requirements & Responsibilities of the Structural Engineer :
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Professional Engineer license preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial structural engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Investigative nature with a strong interest in ensuring the safety and physical integrity of structures.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrable project management skills, including knowledge of construction processes and regulations.
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Experience with steel and concrete industrial projects.
- Familiarity with rotating and vibration analysis.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Design and configure structures to withstand stresses and pressures.
- Prepare and oversee the production of drawings, reports, design criteria, and estimates.
- Inspect construction work and provide technical advice to ensure structurally sounddeliverables.
- Utilize computer-aided design technology for simulations.
- Select appropriate foundation and support materials.
- Conduct calculations and analysis for pressures, loads, and stresses.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to develop proposals.
