Manufacturing Engineer 4

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Level 4) for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE) :

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in STEM (ABET) and 10+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years' experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• 5+ years' experience supporting the development of the engineering technical data packages needed to produce aircraft parts and components.
• 5+ years' experience utilizing professional / technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.
• Experience with CATIA

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :

SME within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production / tooling philosophies. Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build. Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization. Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Resolves complex technical problems. Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained. SME in advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities. Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and communicates producibility best practices. Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring. Duties may include (but are not limited to) :

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE) :

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

The candidate must be able to go up and down stairs, work in small spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.

REQUIRED EDUCATION :

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS :

FULL TIME / VARIABLE SHIFT; All submitted candidates should be available to work variable shifts based on business need, 1st and 2nd.
