An exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper is now available in our Housekeeping Department. Our Housekeeping team takes great pride in making sure that the patient environment is sanitary, comfortable, and safe. As a Housekeeper, you will have a significant impact on the quality of care delivered at UP Health System – Portage. Assignments can include cleaning areas on the main campus as well as off campus.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
·Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
·Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
·Demonstrates proficiency in verbal communication skills.
·Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Two years institutional/commercial housekeeping experience preferred
Current driver’s license required if traveling to work at off-site locations
Annual influenza vaccination or declination required
Position Details:
1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
Day shifts, weekends rotate
Primarily cleaning onsite (ED and 2nd floor)
