The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial models, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization. Working alongside management, this role will assist in the oversight for financial and strategic decision support to ensure achievement of financial goals for the company.  They also will help optimize financial opportunities regarding expense management throughout the corporation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively. The position will report to the VP or Director of Finance and work closely with other functions within the company and will work on-site at our Mesa, AZ office.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Develop financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Prepare financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators.
• Develop robust, multi-variate operational and financial forecast models to support business leaders and finance team with trends, key business drivers, and financial results to assist in operational decisions.
• Support the preparation of financial presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Present actionable recommendations / insights using a data driven approach.
• Build positive relationships with senior leaders to develop budgets, work through forecast changes, department reporting and be the financial point of reference.
• Support the Finance and accounting organization as needed for month-end close, monthly operational reviews, and other analysis or reporting requirements.
• Provide financial and strategic decision support to management to ensure achievement of short- and long-term financial goals.
• Assist management in understanding business dynamics which includes productivity, relationships, modeling, trends, leading indicators, and business statistics.
