Pro Chem Inc., a supplier of environmentally sound industrial maintenance products, has an immediate opening for a Purchasing Assistant based in Alpharetta, GA.
The responsibility of the Purchasing Assistant is to order supplies and equipment in accordance with our company's needs. This includes researching new vendors, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate order records, including open purchase order dates and the status of backorders. Familiarity with supply chain procedures and the ability to create and interpret cost analyses are beneficial for this role. The goal is to make cost-effective purchases while ensuring inventory remains well-stocked and to ensure that all end user inquiries and issues are resolved.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT : Work is performed indoors in an office setting sitting in front of a computer 80% of the time. Must be able to lift to 10 lbs., push and pull up to 10 lbs., lift, stand and carry consistently, have proper hearing, vision, and speech capabilities.
