Position Summary

An Estate Planning Paralegal provides legal support to attorneys and can be expected to work on trusts and estates, probate, trust administration, irrevocable trusts, estate tax returns, and gift tax returns. This position calls for high quality communication skills, exceptional judgment, and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Draft documents such as correspondence, status reports, pleadings, court forms, summaries, memoranda, tax returns, asset spreadsheets, accountings, and other documents as requested.
• Locate documents, data, and records through filing and other research.
• Review, analyze, organize, index and maintain files.
• Provide support to assigned attorneys including acting as a point of contact for clients and managing correspondence with clients. Observe confidentiality of attorney-client relationship.
• Maintain client and general electronic files.
• Assist attorney to prepare for client meetings.
