Project Engineering Manager

AZAD is seeking a Project Engineering Manager for a full-time permanent employment position based in Newport, Michigan.

This position is full-time on-site in Newport, MI. The annual salary range for this position is between $145k-$165k depending on related qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions :

Act as the primary Project Engineering Manager, serving as the field liaison between the organization and the engineering team.

Lead the team with engineering management and guidance, ensuring adherence to company and project policies while serving as the primary point of contact between UECI and the client.

Plan and manage work activities to ensure successful project execution while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

Provide oversight and distribute tasks across the team.

Identify and evaluate project risks and opportunities ahead of time, using thorough analysis to generate options and implement the best course of action for mitigation or improvement.

Apply understanding of other groups' resources and capabilities to effectively integrate them into the project structure.

Understand and adhere to the scope of work and contractual obligations for assigned responsibilities.

Assist with or lead formal status updates and presentations for clients and management.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university with coursework in energy conversion and power systems.

Nuclear experience in a US operating plant.

Professional Engineering (PE) license in any State with the ability to be licensed in other States by Comity.

Completed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

US Citizenship for security clearance.

Ability to pass a thorough background screening to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.

Preferred :

Master of Science in Engineering discipline, with power focus.

Field experience / walk-downs on power projects.

Electrical and / or instrumentation and controls engineering background.

Experience preparing Engineering Design Modification Packages for nuclear power plants including familiarity with Nuclear Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-001).
