Pipeline and Compression Engineer

Airswift is seeking a Pipeline Compression Engineer for a major LNG client in Houston, TX, on an initial 6-month assignment with potential extension.

The Pipeline and Compression Engineer will be responsible for designing pipeline and compression facilities. They will collaborate with engineering contractors to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

• Aid in engineering compressor stations, measurement stations, and pipeline assets, overseeing subject matter experts to ensure designs conform to rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with pipeline engineering teams to meet gas deliverability expectations and incorporate advanced technologies for optimal performance.
• Support detailed design, procurement, process safety management, and HAZOPs, ensuring safety professionals are involved in the process design.
• Develop programs to integrate technical skills into project execution and operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with standards.
• Review and approve designs, support construction, witness testing, and ensure quality, safety, and reliability standards are met.
• Assist field operations in resolving measurement-related technical issues, including accuracy and verification processes.
• Perform engineering duties related to the measurement and control of gas on pipeline and midstream assets.
• Provide engineering support through expertise and problem-solving for related projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely project execution with minimal disruption.
• Communicate project status effectively to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with various departments to maintain and improve infrastructure integrity, including monitoring, studies, risk assessments, and technology assessments.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, control, and instrumentation drawings.
• Support mechanical equipment operations with technical expertise.
