A well-established privately held water resources consulting firm in Southern California is confidentially seeking a Mid-Level Water / Wastewater Engineer to support planning, modeling, design, and construction-phase services for high-visibility municipal projects across the region.

Due to continued project demand and internal team expansion, they are looking to hire an experienced engineer who can independently manage tasks, support client interactions, and strengthen their growing wastewater team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support engineering design , technical analyses, planning studies, and cost estimating for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Prepare reports, technical memoranda, specifications, plans , and digital deliverables.
- Contribute to and help manage project budgets, schedules , and quality standards.
- Participate in the construction phase , including submittal review, field support, and coordination with contractors.
- Supervise or coordinate work for junior engineers, drafters, and technicians .
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.6–12 years of engineering experience in water or wastewater infrastructure; experience with municipal clients strongly preferred.Hands-on experience in planning, design, and construction of wastewater treatment or conveyance facilities.Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or the ability to obtain it within six months.Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply creative engineering solutions.Clear verbal and written communication skills; able to work well in a team environment.Ability to deliver high-quality work within schedule and budget expectations.Preferred
Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering.Advanced experience in wastewater process modeling and / or hydraulic modeling.Compensation
Estimated range : $120,000 – $175,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
