Logistics Automation Specialist - Columbus, Ohio
The TCO Logistics Automation Specialist is responsible for translating business requirements into new features in the Maersk Warehouse and Distribution automated systems. You will ensure the operating procedures are aligned with any changes with an aim to ensure we meet customer and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Owns warehouse control systems and business processes
- Drives creation, standardization, and centralization of business and system processes
- Ensure the operational platform remains up to date based on required improvements
- Assess business and customer needs to determine system requirements
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and IT to configure systems to meet business needs and requirements
- Prioritize, plan, test, and implement new system releases and developments
- Support the business during go-live events for new business and / or systems
- Provide system training and user support to all facilities in North America
- Ensure processes are properly documented, stored, and shared with the business unit through the creation of SOPs / IOPs
- Responsible for process governance and adherence to defined standard operating processes
- Other duties as needed to support the business
- Position is full-time and may be either on-site or remote.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred, not requiredWarehouse Distribution industry experience preferred, but not requiredSelf-starter attitudeAble to adapt quickly to changing tasks and prioritiesMinimum of 3 years Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) experience required. Lafayette superuser preferredMinimum of 2 years Warehouse Management systems (WMS) experience preferredMinimum of 1 year Yard Management systems experience (YMS) preferredExperience with JIRA is a plusUnderstanding of project management methodologies, such as agile, a plusStrong conceptual abilities- able to translate complex issues into ideas and actionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaborate with a teamAbility to perform well with time-sensitive tasksProficient in Microsoft applications : Word, Excel, and PowerPointMust be able to travel up to 50%Company Benefits

$85,000-$100,000
The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
