COTA- Inpatient Therapy

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Performs occupational therapy procedures and other related tasks under the direction of an Occupational Therapist (OTR / L) and assists the OTR / L in patient activities. Supervises technicians, volunteers and students as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Education : Graduate of AOTA accredited educational program for Occupational Therapists Assistants required. Must have current Alabama license. Must receive BCLS certification within orientation period. Prefer member of AOTA.

Experience : None required

Additional Skills / Abilities : Must have excellent communication skills with the ability and willingness to work with all patients in a fast-paced environment.
