Overview
North Alabama OBGYN Associates , a practice partner of Together Women's Health , is seeking a full time Triage / Phone Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing medical team. The Medical Assistant embraces a strong commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience with every interaction.
The Triage / Phone Medical Assistant is the essential clinical communication hub, serving as the primary point of contact for patients by expertly managing a heavy volume of inbound and outbound calls to address symptoms, answer questions about visits, and relay lab results and provider instructions with accuracy and empathy.
Only applicants with Labor & Delivery or OBGYN experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Exceptional organization and ability to triage patient concerns over the phone, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care.
- Seamlessly pivot to traditional hands-on MA duties like patient intake, obtaining vitals, and rooming patients for providers.
- Performing fetal stress tests and administering same-day injections for walk-in patients.
- Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and / or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient.
- Coordinates ordering of tests / procedures with other clinical staff.
