TSMC Arizona is seeking a proactive and results-driven Supply Chain Technical Procurement Buyer to develop and manage supplier relationships and ensure cost-effective procurement for cutting-edge semiconductor fab. This critical role drives strategic sourcing, enhances processes, and strengthens TSMC's operational excellence, directly impacting the company's technological leadership and success within a dynamic, collaborative team environment with a strong understanding of manufacturing and operations.
Responsibilities
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable delivery of materials or services.
- Execute Procurement Processes: Perform technical sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation activities to secure cost-effective, high-quality materials or services that meet fab operational requirements.
- Optimize Supply Chain Performance: Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
- Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Implement procurement strategies that align with company goals to reduce costs, mitigate risks, and enhance supply chain resilience.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure procurement activities align with business needs and production schedules.
- Supply Chain Issues: Resolve supplier-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, or deviations, by analyzing data and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, industry standards and certifications (e.g., ISO, SEMI), and ethical standards in all procurement activities and supplier engagements.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Participate in technical improvement projects to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
Education: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Construction or a related field.
Technical and Interpersonal Skills: Supply Chain Knowledge: Foundational understanding of supply chain principles, procurement processes, and supplier management. Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and materials involved. Analytical Excellence: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in analyzing technical specifications to evaluate supplier capabilities. Strategic Thinking: Business acumen and logical thinking skills to develop and implement procurement strategies. Ability to develop long-term procurement strategies for specialized materials or services. Communication & Influence: Proven written and verbal communication skills, with strong ability in collaboration, negotiation, and influencing stakeholders. Strong ability to communicate technical requirements effectively with both internal engineering teams and external technical supplier representatives. Problem-Solving Expertise: Proactively resolve issues using data-driven analysis and solutions. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical supply issues that could impact semiconductor production. Project Coordination: Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and quality completion. Attention to Detail: Focus on accuracy when reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications

Physical Requirements
Primarily an office-based role requiring the ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer. Ability to use a computer, keyboard mouse and other standard office equipment for prolonged periods of time. Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, and carry light objects. May require occasional travel to company sites, court proceedings, mediations, depositions, or other meetings that involve walking through office, industrial or construction environments.
