Description Infection Preventionist at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is Full time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role. • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field. Or equivalent educ / experience,
• National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology within 1 year of hire.
• 2 years - Healthcare Experience.
• 2-years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience Preferred Qualifications :
• Master's Degree - Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field. Or equivalent educ / experience,
• 4 years - Healthcare Experience.
