Infection Preventionist (Los Angeles)

We are seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention Director to lead our facility's infection prevention and control program. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of a program that ensures a safe, infection-free environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infection control and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will work collaboratively with all departments to promote best practices and respond to evolving health regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the Program : Develop, implement, and maintain an effective infection prevention and control program based on current evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements (CDC, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations).
• Monitor and Analyze : Conduct ongoing surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and analyze infection trends to develop and implement action plans.
• Educate and Train : Provide staff with training, education, and corrective actions related to infection control, hand hygiene, PPE usage, and isolation protocols.
• Investigate and Audit : Lead infection prevention audits, risk assessments, and outbreak investigations.
• Collaborate : Work closely with nursing, environmental services, and dietary staff to ensure facility-wide compliance.
• Manage Health Records : Maintain vaccination records and coordinate immunization programs for residents and staff.
