POSITION SUMMARY : The Content Specialist : Email will be responsible for crafting relevant, urgent and inspiring emails that convert our prospective audience into first time donors and nurture them. S / he will be responsible for writing persuasive, action-driven emails with compelling subject lines and clear, effective calls-to-action that respond to urgent disasters and drive toward annual KPIs and revenue targets. The Content Specialist : Email will work alongside the digital and content team to identify target audiences, develop messaging and create email campaigns that resonate. S / he will also develop emails and other content that assist with the departments regular communications and other needs, as they arise. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop engaging and persuasive email copy with cohesive brand messaging that leads to donor acquisition and enhances brand loyalty
- Write persuasive, action-driven emails with compelling subject lines and clear, effective calls-to-action
- Assist with conducting A / B tests on emails and implement subsequent learnings to increase acquisition and user engagement
- Collaborate with the content and digital team leads and the email manager in developing an email strategy that aligns with organizational goals and resonates with audience segments and personas
- Develop effective email copy, within short timelines as needed, particularly when it relates to current events and disaster response
- Collaborate with other team members to source and embed effective giving handles
- Develop email content that serves the departments internal agency function as needed Incorporate learnings from email analytics to increase the effectiveness of email content
- Assist in developing and executing an effective email strategy for campaigns
- Source and incorporate impact stories and videos in emails while maintaining the highest standards of ethical storytelling, and develop landing page content for these assets
- Develop content for text and web notifications
- Develop quick-turnaround, acquisition-focused content based on news reports that World Relief and the marketing department choose to highlight.
- Develop and present monthly reports on results in collaboration with the digital team
- Conduct research on trends in industry standards and best practices, and incorporate them in email copy strategy
- Measure and track email success against a clearly defined set of email KPIs and revenue targets
- Other related tasks, as required
