Job description

Janitorial Services

Maintains work areas of offices and industrial buildings to keep them clean and orderly. Maintains restroom areas and removes waste material. Performs special cleaning projects as assigned.

General housekeeping duties in addition to servicing all the facility restrooms :

  • Mop and clean floors
  • General housekeeping of employee breakroom : dusk, sweep, mop, take out trash, cleaning of appliances
  • General housekeeping of office areas : dusk, sweep, mop, take out trash
  • Remove trash for work areas throughout the facility
  • Sweep all aisles so they are free from debris
  • Remove excess plastic wrap from product and place in trash
  • Empty and replace all trash containers throughout the warehouse
  • Collect and remove all excess cardboard from processing area's
  • Organize product in bin location as necessary
  • Report safety hazards within the facility to manager
  • Operate trash compactor, bail cardboard, removal of broken pallets
  • Wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times
  • Complete other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For :

  • High School diploma / G.E.D. certificate preferred
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of related work experience preferably in a distribution warehouse environment
  • Ability to operate forklift, hand pallet jack
  • Ability to operate trash compactor
  • Ability to operate cardboard bailer
  • Knowledge of basic warehouse repairs
  • Perform special tasks as assigned
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work independently and in team
  • Good client / customer service skills
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision, but also have the ability to take and follow directions

    • Working Conditions :

    The work is performed inside and outside warehouse; one stationary building with a wide variety of people with differing functions. May be assigned to work shifts as needed. The work is usually done inside warehouse building which is well-lit. Exposed also to work outdoors. Exposed to occasional equipment noise.
