Louis, Boston, Iselin, New York, Philadelphia, Tysons.The Americas Assurance Transactional and Technical Topics ( T3 ) group encompasses the centralization of EY audit efforts in complex audit areas to a specialized team of professionals who work closely with internal engagement teams to assess risk, plan, and execute, and evidence work using a structured approach and standardized documentation.

T3 team members are high-performing professionals consistently delivering a superior audit experience and providing insights to internal and external clients through deep subject matter competencies, excellent teaming, and a continuous improvement mindset.

The opportunityYou’ll help internal EY engagement teams and external clients meet their reporting requirements by executing substantive audit and internal control procedures and providing meaningful insights within a specific complex area of audit.

The T3 Business Combinations and Impairments topic is growing and looking for individuals with an interest in continuing to develop deep technical accounting and audit skills related to complex transactions, as well as analyses related to indefinite-lived intangible assets.

Skills and attributes for successLeading fieldwork, managing performance, and managing audit flow of a specific complex auditarea across multiple engagements, keeping engagement leaders updatedCoaching internal EY engagement teams in completing robust risk assessments in a specific complexaudit area and co-developing a responsive audit planCompleting audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to increase your technical and business skills in a specific complex audit areaEngaging internal EY engagement teams and external clients and providing authoritative adviceand professionalism throughout the auditDeveloping a strong perspective of best practice within a specific complex audit area and delivering relevant insights to internal and external clientsConstantly developing your understanding of current market trends within a specific complex audit area and processes and sharing your knowledge to develop junior colleaguesUnderstanding clients’ unique ambitions and needs and referring them to colleagues in other teams and areasOverseeing engagement economics and managing appropriate resources for efficient engagement models within a specific complex audit areaUse technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance service deliveryTo qualify for the role, you must haveA bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business discipline, supported by 5 to 7 years' work experience as an auditor in a public accounting firmTargeted and strong knowledge of business combinations and / or indefinite-lived intangible asset impairment analysesUS CPA licensure in your work stateExperience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits of financial statements applying US GAAPExperience with SEC clients using SOX 404 and applying PCAOB standardsProven project management skillsExcellent communication and a collaborative approach to managementThe flexibility to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentThe ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessaryAccess to reliable transportation to / from the EY office and client sites.

A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locationsIdeally, you’ll also haveSector experience in one of the following : diversified industrial products;

The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $85,300 to $156,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $102,400 to $177,600.

Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
