Software Engineer, Backend, Factory Software

What to Expect You will work in the design, development, and deployment of applications to automate and enhance financial inventory and costing processes within Tesla's manufacturing systems. In this role, you are expected to take ownership of developing critical applications while solving complex problems and closely collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

• Identify requirements and develop / build new tools / applications from scratch
• Seek to understand all aspects of the applications (business and technical) and effectively contribute to improve them
• Continue to learn and apply relevant software development practices, patterns, tools, and technologies
• Design and develop high quality, scalable, and distributed web application and / or backend services
• Design efficient / cohesive database schemas
• Create Jenkins-pipeline / GitHub-Actions and configure application for Kubernetes deployments
• Design easy-to-use web interfaces following Tesla design heuristics
• Utilize rest-API to communicate with backend application
• Follow Tesla's high standards for security-best practices in all development

Expected Compensation $133,440 - $200,160 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
