Job Summary & Description :

Empowered Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. In this role, you will build meaningful relationships that inspire confidence, promote independence, and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, joyful lives.

As a DSP, you will work one-on-one with each customer to understand their unique needs, support them in achieving their goals, and provide care in a positive, encouraging, and safe environment. Our DSPs serve not only as caregivers but also as mentors, advocates, and trusted companions for the individuals we support.

358 : Were looking for a compassionate and reliable DSP to support a vivacious and determined young adult who loves connecting with others. She enjoys walks, community events, people-watching, visiting produce stands, and relaxing with her iPad. While being outdoors isnt her favorite, she benefits from short outings with support.

A clutter-free environment is essential to keep her safe, as she is at risk of falling, seizures, or fainting. She communicates using ASL or her words, loves to hold hands for comfort, and thrives with caregivers who are kind, patient, and have a good sense of humor.

Schedule : Saturdays and Sundays : 6 : 30 AM - 8 : 30 PM.

Qualifications & Requirements :

• Experience with the I / DD community is preferred but not required.
• Must pass a background check. -
• Not all charges will warrant a disqualification.
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid drivers license, with a good driving record.
• Musthave your own reliable vehicle, with full coverage auto insurance.
• Must be comfortable providing respectful support with personal care, including bathroom and hygiene.
