Empowered Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team.
In this role, you will build meaningful relationships that inspire confidence, promote independence, and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, joyful lives.
As a DSP, you will work one-on-one with each customer to understand their unique needs, support them in achieving their goals, and provide care in a positive, encouraging, and safe environment. Our DSPs serve not only as caregivers but also as mentors, advocates, and trusted companions for the individuals we support.
347 : We are looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an adventurous individual who loves books, music, playing with toys, baseball, swimming, and spending time outdoors. He enjoys being active, taking walks, and exploring the world around him.
We are looking for a DSP who is patient, attentive, and understanding, especially when it comes to learning and adapting to his unique communication style. Since he has limited safety awareness, youll play an important role in keeping him safe and helping him fully engage in activities in a fun and secure way.
He can become easily dysregulated, so its important to know how to facilitate smooth transitions and implement strategies while he is calm and regulated.

Schedule : Mon-Fri 2 : 30 - 7 : 00 pm. Occasional full days depending on school schedule (e.g.. teacher work days).

Encourage and guide customers in achieving their personal goals, tracking progress, and sharing insights with their County Coordinator.
Foster skill development, hobbies, interests, and community engagement, helping customers build confidence and independence.
Develop genuine relationships, creating a sense of belonging and helping customers recognize their value and voice in the community.
Keep in touch with County Coordinators and report updates or concerns promptly, ensuring smooth and supportive care.
Follow all safety and wellness protocols to maintain a secure and comfortable environment for customers.
Complete required state training and certifications, keeping your skills sharp and your care up-to-date.
Approach each day with compassion, patience, and understanding. Serve as a mentor, advocate, and companion, bringing encouragement, laughter, and meaningful support to customers lives.
