Illinois state Tech requirements :
- Must be licensed to work as Pharm Tech in IL
- All Techs must upgrade to Certified Tech and obtain cert within 2 years of becoming Registered Pharm Tech
Job Summary :
The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Pull / pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacistFill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacistAssist in processing returned drugs and recycle / dispose per procedureAssist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume timesPackage materials and products manuallyFollow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAAMaintain clean / organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shiftAlert the pharmacist on duty of any medication / product that is not scanning properlyComply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress codeOvertime, holidays, and weekends may be required and / or expectedOther duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needsRequired Skills / Abilities :

Lunches are 1 hr - 30 min paid, 30 unpaid (please make sure they log accordingly)
Weekends : Pharmacy Techs can expect to work every 2-3 weeks. Can be every other when needed, or every 3 weekends
Automation Openings :
Looking for somebody who is more experienced, has used automation technologies in a pharmacy setting - LTC experience preferred for automation openingsOther Tech needs :
Any fast-paced pharmacy setting will work (retail is fine, other LTC, any pharmacy tech works as long as they can keep up with a fast pace)really looking for people who can come in and hit ground running and are comfortable operating in fast-paced productivity-based environment. HAVE to work through scripts each day to get meds to patients on time.AM Shift :
