About The Position

Must-Have : Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Description :

Must have valid state license in hand to submit.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Minimum of two years of experience required.

Auto offer with the ability for manager interview if necessary.

Every other weekend and every other holiday are required.

Ratios : 1 nurse to 15 patients.

This traveler will need to float between like units.

Block scheduling is available.

Required certifications include BLS and Telemetry experience.

The facility is a Trauma Level 1, Teaching Hospital with 228 staffed beds.

Daily census of the unit is approximately 20 patients.

Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.

Major patient diagnoses include renal disorders, diabetes, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, genitourinary disorders, cardiac disorders, hematological disorders, neurological disorders, and integumentary disorders.

Special procedures performed include urinary catheter insertion, NGT insertion, IV insertion, chest tube management, wound care and management, surgical drainage care and management, management of patients on BIPAP / CPAP therapy, management of ventilated patients, and telemetry monitoring.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Special equipment utilized includes vein finder, bladder scanner, oxygen, suction pumps, and infusion pumps.
