SUMMARY
Provide strategic and technical leadership in development of magnetic product for communication systems. Directing and coordinating of global R&D activities to obtain global coverage of key customers.
Execution of R&D projects per timelines to maintain company in competitive position and profitability per annual plan requirements.
Coordinate R&D activities with all functions such as marketing, manufacturing, Quality, automation, and test teams in successful qualification of the product internally and by customer.
Ensure device design passes timely and in budget through development stage gates. Work closely with existing and potential customers in selling our capabilities.
Interface with silicon design houses in development and optimization of magnetic product matching the latest communications chip sets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION : Minimum of BS in electrical Engineering and MBA or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE : 10-15 years engineering management and / or, product / marketing management, and / or operations management experience.
Five years general management experience.
KNOWLEDGE : In-depth knowledge of Magnetics component business or Semiconductor background. Knowledge of material properties (ferrite, plastic, metal) and industry standards.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing process (Machining, Molding, Stamping, Plating). Familiarity with IEEE 802.3 standard and IATF 16949 requirements

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
INTERNAL : CEO, Sales Group head, BU heads, Deputy BU heads, Corporate Department heads (IT, HR, Legal, Controller, Marketing), Operations managers.
EXTERNAL : Customer : High level management, engineering, semiconductor houses, and commodity managers, purchasing managers and buyers, component engineers, production engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Channel Partners : High level managers (Distributors and Reps).

SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES
1. Support BU head with development of the Annual Plan budget and quarterly plans for the BU. Personally, own and does whatever is necessary to make the Plan numbers including revenue, gross margins, and operating profit.
2. Support BU head in the development and implementation of global BU goals with detailed strategic and tactical execution plans.
Provide an in depth understanding of customer needs, competitive abilities, where and how competitive advantage can be gained, new markets, increase share of existing markets, and overall improvement of the Company’s competitive position in growing market segments.
3. Clearly communicates these goals to the entire BU team and within the Company.
4. Drive and measure the execution of the strategic and tactical plans to conclusion with focus on the coordination of all global region activities.
The global focus is specifically on establishing and maintain of a cost competitive design capability in close cooperation with corporate supply chain management
5. Ensures effective communication and alignment with BU head and different Division locations and teams globally.
6. Assist BU head in setting and adjusting the Division structure and coordinate activities of marketing, engineering, quality, program management and other Division functions to maximize operational efficiency, economy, and meet Division goals.
7. Schedule regular meetings with Division leadership to review bookings activity, new product development, marketing, product launch, quality, and Division operations.
8. Regularly visits customers and IC houses to determine market requirements and customer needs as well as their evaluation of the Company’s technology, quality, delivery, service and communication.
9. Work closely with BU head to plan and execute an effective talent review, development, adjustment of roles and responsibilities, and retention process to support the PBU long term growth plan.
10. Develop and maintain a productive relationship the global sales team.
