Electrical Designer I–III (Industrial Projects) Pay Rate : $60-$65 / hour Location Options : Kansas City, MO Cincinnati, OH Appleton, WI Greenville, SC Raleigh, NC Savannah, GA Mobile, AL Salt Lake City, UT (potential consideration) What You’ll Be Doing We’re seeking Electrical Designers (Levels I–III) to support a wide range of industrial facility projects. You’ll work closely with engineers and project teams to design and document electrical and control systems. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoy contributing to large-scale facility upgrades and installations. Key Responsibilities : Create and modify electrical and control system designs, including detailed drawing packages Generate drawings such as : Single-line diagrams (SLD) Elementary diagrams (ED) Power distribution layouts Grounding and lighting diagrams Logic, network architecture, and function diagrams Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and vendor information Review design inputs and ensure all outputs meet client and project standards Support the development of electrical construction documents and equipment specifications Identify scope changes during design and report impacts to the project team Comply with client drafting standards and quality procedures Level-Specific Contributions : Designer I Produce layout and design drawings under supervision Learn and follow project workflows, standards, and tools Develop a strong foundation in AutoCAD and project-specific software Designer II Work independently to complete assigned design tasks Mentor junior designers and support drawing QA / QC Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure alignment of systems Designer III Take ownership of electrical / control packages and provide leadership within the team Coordinate vendor drawings and lead the review process Manage design tasks across multiple phases and projects What You Bring to the Table You’re a self-motivated designer with attention to detail and a passion for electrical systems. Qualifications by Level : Electrical Designer I : Associate degree or technical certification, or 6 months–1 year of related design experience Electrical Designer II : Associate degree or equivalent, plus 3–5 years of electrical design experience Minimum 3 years as an Electrical Designer I or equivalent Electrical Designer III : Associate degree or equivalent, with 5–7+ years of experience Experience leading electrical design efforts in an industrial environment Additional Skills : High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required Experience with PDS EE Raceway, SmartPlant Electrical, or SKM is a plus Familiarity with codes and standards such as NEC, ISA, NFPA, ANSI, OSHA FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
