The Opportunity
- Provide marine structural engineering design, analysis, and studies for domestic and international marine, coastal and heavy civil projects.
- Design and inspect marine structures including docks, marinas, wharves, piers, steel, timber and concrete pile structures, floating structures, breakwaters, seawalls, bulkheads, and waterfront facilities.
- Experience with design hydraulic structures is a plus.
- Serve as a technical leader in a regional practice lead capacity, implementing engineering strategy and advising on national practice strategy for Coast and Flood Infrastructure projects.
- Execute assigned projects and mentor younger professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, and engineering codes; maintain or develop engineering standards and guides; offer technical guidance across projects or disciplines.Ensure compliance with B&V quality program; promote quality culture; support continuous improvement, change management, and risk management.Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multi-project portfolios; conduct research and recommend equipment / materials; manage data collection and management for engineering work.Prepare complex engineering calculations; manage budgets, schedules, and quality requirements; apply advanced engineering solutions; assign tasks to team members and review work; lead production teams or coordinate multi-discipline activity as appropriate.Coordinate with internal and external teams on complex projects; define project schedules for single or multiple disciplines.Identify client interests and drivers; communicate them to the project team and adapt performance to address client concerns.Identify future client needs and support business development or pursuit activities.Act as a technical specialist in broad or narrow areas; develop advanced concepts for unique problems; support multiple projects with complex technical challenges; may mentor other engineers and assist management as needed.Oversee performance management, career planning, development, and related activities; participate in workforce planning and coaching of lower- and mid-level professionals.Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplinePrior experience as a Marine Structural EngineerLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) or in active pursuit of PE registrationMinimum Qualifications

Professional engineering registration is preferred or in active pursuit.
