Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity involves providing specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing within a K-12 educational environment. The role is based in Thomaston, GA, and is offered as a contract position for the new school year.
Key Qualifications and Experience :
- Certification or licensure in Teaching Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with K-12 students in a classroom or resource setting
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and munication modalities, including sign language and auditory strategies
- Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and related service providers
