Project Accounting Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Accounting Manager (hands‑on) to join our thriving engineering firm. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our financial management team, providing financial oversight to all our engineering projects. Base pay range
$125,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the entire project accounting function within the engineering department.Implement and maintain effective job costing systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of all projects.Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets, monitor project costs and analyze variances.Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) in all financial operations.Review and approve all project‑related billings and invoices.Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support to senior management.Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the project accounting function.Provide training and guidance to project accounting staff.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be considered an advantage.Minimum of 6 years of experience in project accounting or a related field, preferably in the engineering industry.Knowledge of accounting skills – AR / AP.Experience with Deltek accounting system or similar accounting software.Proven experience with job costing and SOPs.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to manage and develop a team.Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
