Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Neuroscience Publications Department at Barrow Neurological Institute leads the academic publishing industry in author services focused entirely on the neurosciences. We provide editorial and media expertise to support residents, fellows, attending physicians, and researchers at Barrow. Our illustrators, animators, graphic artists, and multimedia specialists work closely with authors to create elegant, accurate visual content using the latest industry standards and technology (including a state-of-the-art render farm) to achieve higher visibility and faster publication.
Neuroscience Publications is seeking a temporary Technical Artist to join our team. The candidate will support 3D animation production, workflows, and procedures to advance the academic publishing mission of all Barrow departments, including Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Research.
Responsibilities
Located in Phoenix, AZ, this is an in-person, 6-month temporary position. Individuals must live within driving distance of the Barrow campus.
A portfolio is required.

REQUIREMENTS :
The following software skills are preferable (but not required) : Autodesk Maya, Blackmagic Design Fusion Studio or DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Suite, SideFX Houdini, V-Ray render engine, Substance Designer or Painter, Blender, C4D, or 3ds Max, a render manager software, Python, Lua, MEL scripting, Unreal, Unity, Godot, Mudbox, Wrap 3D, a database software, Linux.
