Requirements

Be a U.S. citizen

Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification

Meet the Army's tattoo guidelines

Have no major law violations

Pass medical assessments

Be between 18 and 32 years old

Training & Certifications

22 weeks of Infantry One Station Unit Training (IST)

4-week Special Operations Forces Preparation Course and the Special Forces Assessment & Selection Course, following Airborne School

Achieve a minimum score of 110 on the General Technical section of the ASVAB test

Score 100 or higher on the Combat section of the ASVAB test
