Description : We are looking for a fabrication press brake operator for our busy HVAC company. This position is operating a fabrication press brake machine, CNC machine and more to produce a variety of parts which must meet dimensional specification of mechanical engineering drawings. Schedule
- Swing : 3 : 15pm-1 : 45am Mon-Thurs (plus 10% differential pay)
Responsibilities
Operate press brake and other CNC machinery in the fabrication department.Input and adjust data using CNC controller.Adjust ram and back gauge per process control instructions and drawings.Perform advanced programming on the press brake.Program CNC to produce new parts to specifications.Conduct operator-level maintenance.Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.Select appropriate punches and dies based on material type and thickness.Set up tooling, load programs, and configure machine parameters.Maintain high quality standards with attention to detail.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Follow all company rules, policies, and safety standards.Work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision, independently or as part of a team.Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist where needed.Required Skills and Qualifications :
Ability to read, write, and speak English.Strong math skills, including fractions and decimal conversion.Ability to read and use calipers and tape measures.Experience operating press brake machinery.Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings.Familiarity with sheet metal types (Galvanized, Stainless Steel, Aluminum.Basic knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.Minimum Requirements :
Able to read a tape measure (testing required).Willingness and availability to work overtime as needed.Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.Strong attendance record and reliable transportation.Must pass pre-employment, post-accident, and random drug screenings.
