Global Merchandising Manager
This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.
About The Position
As the Global Merchandising Manager, you will lead the Men's Outerwear category in creating product strategies aligned with long-range planning. Here you'll guide the Product Line Management team in the development of seasonal line plans and cross-functional collaboration to create a unified product line that meets the needs of the consumer and drives profitable growth. You will also be responsible for the mentorship and development of direct team members and their contributions to product excellence and team performance.
How You'll Make A Difference
- Support the execution of mid- and long-term product creation strategies through contributions to business, marketplace, consumer research, and analysis
- Own the development and creation of a seasonal line plan, growth drivers, and competitive pricing analysis that align with the business's strategic direction and result in meeting or exceeding of revenue and productivity metrics
- Manage team's efforts across all global waypoints and Go-to-Market activities. Ensure activities meet all calendar deliverables and deadlines defined by the brand's master calendar
- Support the individual development of team member needs, ensuring the success of the team. Provide timely feedback and development conversations that support the team's career growth. Provides individual and team recognition as well as constructive and courageous feedback.
- Play a leading role for cross-functional product teams, providing leadership and vision, and partnering with cross functional leaders to ensure teams execute on the strategic direction and priorities of the business
- Identify best practices in order to improve communication, operational efficiency, process, tools, and sustain seamless working relationships. Demonstrates effective conflict management and problem-solving skills
