Assistant Professor of Nursing

Position Overview

Position Summary :

Eastern New Mexico University's (ENMU) Department of Health and Human Services invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing. The position entails a 4 / 4 teaching load. This is a residential appointment in a collegial department with a supportive campus culture, and campus presence / relocation is required. ENMU seeks candidates committed to excellent undergraduate and graduate education and student success within the framework of the teacher-scholar model.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities :

Under the direction of the Nursing Program Director

• Provide online BSN and MSN level instruction support to nursing students and the nursing program.
• Advisement and mentoring.
• Research and other scholarly activities are expected
• The faculty member will be expected to assist with ACEN accreditation compliance as assigned
• Recruitment and Retention duties.
• Contribute to academic planning, curricular design, program development, recruiting / retention efforts, and program assessment.
• Serve on departmental, college and universitycommittees.
• Attend departmental and university faculty meetings and external meetings as required
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
• Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the Nursing Director and / or as outlined in the Faculty Handbook.

Work is generally sedentary in nature. The job may require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
