Tekberry is looking for an experienced Drafting / CAD Engineer II to work onsite with our client, a world leader in advanced materials and manufacturing innovation. This position will support the Facilities Engineering team providing drafting and documentation for plant infrastructure, utilities, and process equipment.

Responsibilities :

Document existing manufacturing and facility conditions using AutoCAD for :

Site plans, building layouts, and equipment locations

Mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems

Fire protection, life safety, IT, and process utilities

Architectural and structural plans, details, and foundations

Create isometric drawings , schematics, and typical MEP details.

Maintain and organize drafting files, directories, revision histories, and X-refs.

Convert contractor redlines or markups into accurate as-built drawings .

Follow drawing standards and ensure documentation is current and compliant.

Modify or create supporting documents using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe tools .

Conduct site visits and surveys to gather field data and verify physical conditions.

Provide occasional administrative or project documentation support to the Facilities Engineering team.

Qualifications : Education :

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.

Experience :

Minimum 5 years of professional drafting experience .

Background in architectural, engineering, or construction environments preferred.

Required Skills :

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and drafting systems.

Strong understanding of architectural drawing standards , MEP drafting , and GD&T .

Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, surveys, and specifications.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

Excellent time management and communication abilities; able to handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills :

Experience using Revit , AutoCAD 3D , or BIM systems .

3D product modeling experience in SolidWorks or Creo .

Familiarity with Bluebeam , Adobe , and small project management.

Prior construction project documentation or facilities design experience.

100% Onsite Fairport, NY

Travel : Up to 5% (local)

ITAR Compliance Required Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
