Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their finance team. This is a critical role responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for approximately 300 employees across multiple legal entities and various states. The ideal candidate will be an expert in multi-state payroll compliance and dedicated to maintaining the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Main Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees in a multi-entity and multi-state environment.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, deductions, and withholdings.
• Manage compliance for all federal, state, and local payroll taxes and reporting, including quarterly and year-end processes (W-2s).
• Reconcile payroll data and general ledger entries related to payroll, benefits, and taxes.
• Administer and process employee benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) deductions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and taxes, providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain payroll system integrity, conducting regular audits and identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Stay current on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices across all relevant states.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Location : Vancouver, WA - Hybrid flexibility

Salary : $68,000 - $80,000
