The Underwriter 1 position is responsible for working with their Team Leader, Underwriters 2-4, Data Consultants, Account Managers, Producers, and Clients in preparing requests for proposals, obtaining, and analyzing carrier quotes, inputting, and analyzing data from various automation systems, and maintaining a small book of business. It also works collaboratively with the underwriting and data teams to perform financial and data analysis of a client's healthcare plans.
