School Psychologist Intern – Job Description
Position Summary :
The School Psychologist Intern provides supervised psychoeducational services to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. This role offers hands-on experience in assessment, consultation, and intervention within a school setting, under the guidance of a credentialed school psychologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments using standardized tools and observational methods
- Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP conferences
- Support crisis intervention and behavioral planning
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and inform decision-making
- Maintain accurate documentation and prepare written reports of findings and recommendations
- Engage in professional development and receive ongoing supervision from a licensed school psychologist
Qualifications
