About the Role
The Company is seeking a Corporate Counsel, Contracts Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal agreements, ensuring their compliance with relevant laws and company policies. This role requires a high level of integrity and the ability to work closely with leadership to manage legal contracts that support nationwide operations. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate degree, be in good standing with at least one State Bar Association, and have a minimum of 7 years' experience in contract law, with a focus on the commercial and / or corporate sector.
Key responsibilities for the Corporate Counsel, Contracts Attorney include providing legal advice to business units, conducting legal research, and proactively guiding leadership on regulations and legal matters impacting the industry. The role demands strong negotiation skills, the ability to identify and resolve contract-related issues, and a deep understanding of the banking industry, particularly in the areas of title insurance and mortgage servicing. Experience in drafting contracts for banking institutions, mortgage servicers, and title insurance companies is preferred, and experience with technology contracts is a plus. The candidate should have excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, and be adept at managing multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
