Patient Account Service Representative
Onsite - St. Charles, MO
Monday-Friday | 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Position Summary
The Patient Account Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and collections support to Early-Out clients, patients, and guarantors. This role focuses on reviewing, following up on, and resolving patient account balances while representing a specific client and adhering to all established policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of applicable regulations-including FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPAA -and the ability to interpret complex healthcare account information. Professionalism, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Review and evaluate assigned account files to determine appropriate collection actions.
Manage workflows efficiently to maximize recoveries and ensure both client and patient satisfaction.
Communicate with patients / guarantors, insurance companies, and third-party agencies to negotiate, arrange, and monitor payment plans.
Prepare, process, and post patient payments accurately using client systems.
Research and verify insurance eligibility; perform skip tracing as needed to locate debtors.
Obtain documentation from clients for accounts requiring insurance filing or litigation, including invoices, statements, contracts, and payment histories.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and client-specific regulations, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a professional, fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
Onsite position located in St. Charles, MO .
Standard business hours : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM .
