Job descriptionCheck reservations for dining, events, and private functions, ensuring efficient seating arrangements and dining room is set up properly. Answer the phone in a professional manner, make reservations when necessary and follow up with management. Warmly greet and welcome club members and their guests upon arrival. Escort members and guests to their tables, providing menus and any necessary information. Build rapport with club members, recognizing their preferences and delivering personalized service. Be aware of club policies, such as dress codes and etiquette, to maintain the desired ambiance. Coordinate with servers and the kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and timely dining experience. Provide information about club facilities, services, and upcoming events. Perform clean up and closing duties as assigned. Maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance in line with the company’s dress code. Adhere to health and safety regulations and emergency procedures. Promote a safe and secure environment for members and guests Work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong customer service orientation and a friendly, welcoming demeanor. Attention to detail and the ability to provide personalized service. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Knowledge of reservation is a plus. Previous experience in a hospitality or upscale dining environment is preferred. Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons. Listen effectively; speak, read and write fluently in English. Work under pressure and handle difficult situations. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prioritize and organize work. Work effectively in a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Stand and walk for the length of scheduled shift. Reach with hands and arms, bend stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned through visual acuity. Express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly. Perceive the nature of sounds at a normal speaking level and make fine discriminations in sound. Withstand a moderate noise level.
