Pride Health is hiring a Sterile Processing Technologist to support our client's medical facility based in Houston, TX 77025. This is a 9-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Name : Sterile Processing Technologist

Location : Houston, TX 77025

Duration : 9-week Contract (Possibilities of extension)

Payrate : $20-23 / hr. on w2 / Pay Rate is based on experience.

Schedule : Mon – Fri (5 days / wk.) / Various start times based on the needs of the department.

Job Responsibilities :

• Adheres to AAMI ST79, AORN, and manufacturer IFU guidelines for proper instrument cleaning and sterilization.
• Applies aseptic technique, universal precautions, and proper PPE in all decontamination and processing tasks.
• Inspects instruments / equipment for damage, malfunction, or bioburden prior to sterilization.
• Demonstrates proficiency with a wide range of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterilization methods.
• Maintains, cleans, and operates CSPD equipment (autoclave, washer-decontaminator, ultrasonic, Steris, etc.).
• Ensures adequate inventory levels and coordinates timely instrument repairs or replacements.
• Maintains a clean, organized work environment and completes all required sterilization documentation.
• Collaborates with clinical staff to support surgical procedures, emergency needs, and supply management.
• Provides professional, courteous customer service and maintains confidentiality.
• Reports inefficiencies, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences to appropriate leadership.
• Assists with training, orienting, and supporting new or transitioning staff.
• Complies with all regulatory standards (CDC, AORN, AAMI, state / federal rules) and reports incidents within required timeframes.
