Unit Summary

As a Float RN, you’ll be a versatile team member, working across all acute care units to ensure smooth operations. You’ll provide direct patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the highest standards of practice.

Position Responsibilities

Implement care plans, including medication administration and clinical treatments.

Document patient care accurately.

Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.

Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.

Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Evaluate and address the learning needs of patients and families.

Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Coordinate daily staffing assignments and provide mentorship to staff.

Ensure compliance with policies and facilitate staff development.

Lead the resolution of complex issues and complaints.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Nursing (required)

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)

Current RN license to practice in Kentucky

2 years of critical care experience

Certifications : BCLS; ACLS & PALS as per unit-specific requirements
