Jumoke Academy Seeks a Motivated And Innovative Middle School Certified SOCIAL STUDIES Teacher, Who Is Committed To Excellence For Every Child And Will Accept Nothing Less. This Individual Must Be Highly Motivated And Mission-driven;a Teacher Who Sweat The Small Stuff Without Losing Sight Of The Big Picture. Positions Are Also Available In Specified Content Areas (Math, Science, Social Studies And ELA). The Ideal Teacher Candidate Will Have a Proven Track Record Of

• Using data to drive and inform instruction
• Inspiring, engaging, and empowering students and families
• Establishing and maintaining a culture of high expectations
• Building effective relationships with students, families and peers
• Ensuring fidelity to curriculum, instructional excellence and best-practices in assessment

Qualifications

Certification / License : Appropriate CT State Certification

Education : An accredited Bachelor's or Masters Degree

Experience : At least one year of teaching experience at the intermediate elementary and middle school level.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR

School Principal

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND WORK SCHEDULE

Ten month work year. Standard teacher work schedule, including attendance at professional development, open houses, parent conferences and staff meetings as needed.
