26-bed MedSurg unit with a strong cardiac patient population

Typical patient ratio : 1 : 5 to 1 : 7

Patient population includes : Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI)

Post-device care (pacemakers)

Arrhythmia management

Required Experience & Skills

Minimum Experience : 1 year of recent MedSurg experience

Floating : Required

EMR : Must be proficient in EPIC

Certifications : BLS required

Required Clinical Skills

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response

Dysrhythmia interpretation & management

Rapid Response / Code Team experience

IV Therapy / Phlebotomy

Peripheral line care & management
