SUMMARY
This position will ensure the execution of operational and support activities, maintaining and continuously improving technology operations.
You would support the efficiency of technologies and procedures within the department, under strategic direction from the Sr.
Director of IT. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of audiovisual systems and IT hardware / software in addition to excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
As the NAVCs IT Operations Coordinator / Specialist you will support a large stack of IT Hardware and Software / SaaS solutions.
The IT Coordinator would support all physical equipment, including on-premise and remote endpoints (Gainesville and Orlando, FL) and NAVC Live Events (locations may vary).
You would organize, prepare, deploy, and respond to day-to-day questions and concerns from end users seeking support, guidance, and training.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the lifecycle of evaluation, acquisition, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and support of computers and other information and communication-related technology hardware and software.
- Maintain inventory of all IT A / V equipment, communication devices, and technology hardware / software assets, including related peripheral equipment and related vendor agreements.
- Assures the reliability, security, and validity of NAVC information through the enforcement, remediation, and training of security policy and procedures.
- Enforce Cyber Security best practices leveraging KnowBe4
- Remain current with emerging technologies, tools, and processes.
- Perform User access control, including performing Employee onboarding / off-boarding of Technology systems and corresponding permissions.
- Engage in IT support desk operations, including the ticket management system and other support technologies.
TECHNOLOGY ADMINISTRATION
- Administer network operating systems and all network equipment across NAVC, including switches, routers, firewalls, content filtering, wireless access points, website domain & hosting administration.
- Administer resources, including authentication, security, file, web, database, email, VLAN, MDM, G-Suite, etc.
- Administer user accounts and contact lists for all systems, including email and telephone systems (Zoom, Gmail, PingBoard, etc.. .)
- Administrate Support Operations solutions such as SysCloud, Kandji, Google Workspace, BetterCloud, etc
- Monitor and maintain security and cybersecurity policies.
- Monitor and maintain the enterprise data backup solution, running audits, remediation planning, and disaster recovery.
EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fulfill ordering, delivery, setup & support of NAVC and vendor-supplied technology solutions serving NAVC Events.
- Travel as necessary to provide in-person infrastructure deployment & support at events
- Collaborate with the Event Technology team, bridging the IT Hardware with Event Software solutions.
- Additionally, assist in coordinating vendor services and temp staff as needed.
OTHER DUTIES
- Oversee improvement opportunities regarding technology training for staff and provide technical support for administrators, staff, and NAVC Customers where applicable.
- Maintain documentation standards for issue tracking, system configurations, projects, and other Department SOPs using Atlassian / Jira
- Supports NAVCs IT-enabled facility-related systems.
- Develops and maintains effective communication and working relationships with all departments.
- Assist with company-based hardware / software projects.
- Other duties may be assigned in support of NAVC.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A combination of experience supporting various technologies such as Windows Desktop, Mac OS, Office 365, Apple IOS, GSuite, AndroidOS, Jira / Atlassian
- Experience with IAM and MDM solutions (OneLogin, Kandji)
- Experience with AV and teleconferencing systems such as Zoom Rooms
- Experience with networking (Meraki, ethernet, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to non-technical people
- Ability to handle job stress, interact effectively with others in the workplace, and act with honesty and composure in public
- Participation in support rotation

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A bachelors degree; or associates degree and two years of appropriate experience; or a high school diploma and four years of experience.
Appropriate college coursework or vocational / technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
